Patients must:

  • Be established with The Iowa Clinic
  • Schedule an appointment
  • Check in online or via text prior to arrival
  • Stay in your vehicle
  • Review the FAQ and map below to ensure you drive and park in the correct place

Important: You will need to make an appointment for each person in your vehicle who is getting a flu shot and fill out a pre-registration for each person. Plan to arrive at your first appointment time and all individuals in your vehicle will be able to receive their shot during that time slot.

FAQs

  •  How can my entire family receive shots? 

    Each person can receive a shot, but they all need to be registered. If someone is not an established patient or they are not registered, you will be asked to pull aside and complete paperwork before shots will be administered.

  • What if one of us is an established patients but the others are not?

    Individuals who are not established patients can still schedule an appointment and register, they will simply need additional paperwork.

  • What does the process look like when I arrive?

    Follow the signs to get in the flu clinic line. Please ensure all those in your vehicle have an appointment AND have checked-in online via the text/email. Stay in your vehicle and a staff member will come to you to confirm all the paperwork needed is complete, and your shots will be administered.

  • Do I get out of my car?

    Shots will be administered in your car, you do not need to get out. If there is difficulty administering the shot, you may be asked to move to a parking spot and step out of the car.

  • What happens if we can't get the shot taken in the car?

    If a shot is not able to be administered in your vehicle, you may be asked to move to a parking spot for additional instructions.

  • Where do I go to get my shot?

    West Des Moines: Patients are asked to enter through the main entrance off of University Ave (north) or the first drive near Biaggi’s off of 60th (northwest). The Drive-Up Flu Clinic will take place at the north entrance - #1. Follow the signs careful to ensure you do not get into the incorrect line as COVID Testing and Urgent Care will be open at this time.

    Ankeny Campus: Enter through the main entrance and follow the signs to the main door on the north side. The maps above indicate the entrances for each campus.
