Mask Usage

Based on CDC recommendations, patients and visitors coming into The Iowa Clinic for appointments are required to wear masks or homemade face coverings. This proactive measure is designed to keep you safe and help reduce potential exposure of infectious individuals with COVID-19 to others.

Urgent Care

When you or someone you love is sick, every minute matters. That’s why we’ve enhanced our Urgent Care to offer online reservations and a virtual waiting room. This allows you to view approximate wait times at both our West Des Moines and Ankeny locations and book your spot in advance so you can wait for your reservation time from the comfort of home or the convenience of your vehicle. Once you’ve reserved your spot, we’ll be in communication with you via text message every step of the way. Walk-ins are also welcome. 

Virtual Care

Patients are encouraged to use The Iowa eClinic for virtual visits whenever possible. The Iowa eClinic is also available via The Iowa Clinic mobile app. Read more about what qualifies for an eVisit.
