About James Lovell, DO, FACC
James Lovell, DO, FACC is the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Unity Point Des Moines as well as the Medical Director for The Iowa Clinic Research Department. He has expertise in the complex interaction between treatments for cancer and coronary and structural heart disease. He uses protocols for revascularization, developed at MD Anderson, to provide the most efficient and safest coronary and valvular heart disease treatment prior to cancer treatment.
As a provider of the latest technology in structural heart disease, Dr. Lovell offers Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement which greatly decreases recovery time in valvular heart disease patients who have high or intermediate risk for surgery.
