About Wendy Volkert, PT
Wendy Volkert, PT has been with The Iowa Clinic since June 2016. When a friend of hers expressed her love for The Iowa Clinic, Wendy took an interest. She came to find it fell in line with her professional needs and personal values, making The Iowa Clinic the perfect fit.
As an athlete in high school, Wendy worked with physical therapists that helped reduce her pain, increase her function, and return her to her full athletic capabilities. At this young age, she knew she wanted to help others like herself. She loves when patients return with a smile on their face once they have resumed their activity of choice, including athletics, playing with their children or grandchildren, or going about their day without thinking about pain.
Outside of The Iowa Clinic, Wendy is the Secretary of the Martial Artists for Children and Community Foundation. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their young son, Dominic, as well as traveling, working out, walking their dog, and volunteering within the community. Wendy practices what she preaches by regularly participating in Taekwando, running, and biking to maintain a healthy lifestyle mentally and physically.;
