About Barbara Hodne, DO
“Mom” is the word Dr. Hodne believes describes her best. Hodne, whose youngest child graduated from high school in 2014, says, “Not many people know that I was a show choir mom for over a decade. Soon, I’ll have to find a new hobby.” That is, in addition to her intrigue with CSI shows on TV. “I often joke that, in my next life, I might come back as a forensic scientist,” she says. Dr. Hodne chose Family Medicine because, “I’m interested in many areas of medicine and enjoy developing long-term relationships with families across multiple generations.” That’s something she’s done since 1994, when she practiced in her hometown of Manning, Iowa.
