About Kim Countryman, DO
Kim Countryman, DO joined The Iowa Clinic in 2012. She was drawn to the security and community that a physician-owned clinic offered. She has enjoyed her experience with leadership roles at The Iowa Clinic, including becoming a member of the Board of Directors in 2016. She is also currently a team physician for Iowa Wild Hockey.
Dr. Countryman was originally a registered nurse, she graduated from Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in 1978. In 1990, she went back to complete her Family Practice Residency to become a doctor. She worked for the residency and took students for years while she was an independent practicing physician, before she joined The Iowa Clinic. Dr. Countryman has loved medicine her entire life and could not dream of doing anything else.
In her free time, Dr. Countryman enjoys bicycling and playing cribbage.
