COVID-19 Testing

If You Have COVID-19 Symptoms

If you’re experiencing mild COVID-19 symptoms and want to be tested, we offer testing at our 7147 Vista Drive in West Des Moines - now with expanded hours.

If you feel you need to be seen by a healthcare provider for your symptoms, patients can schedule a reservation online for a testing time or walk-in for one of our two Urgent Care locations in West Des Moines and Ankeny. Please note that high patient volumes may affect your ability to schedule an Urgent Care reservation online and walk-ins may be necessary.

What to Expect During your Testing Appointment

When scheduling your COVID-19 testing appointment, you MUST:

  2. Have a valid driver’s license or form of identification

Once you confirm your appointment, you will receive a text message or email with check-in information. The online check-in process is mandatory in order for our staff to complete your testing at your scheduled time.

If you feel this is a true medical emergency, call 9-1-1 or visit your nearest emergency room (call on your way).

Pre-operative Testing

Scheduled for a procedure that requires pre-operative COVID-19 testing? Visit this page for details on what to expect once your provider schedules your testing appointment. NOTE: Weekend testing will have a delay in results.

FollowMyHealth Portal Account

Please note that patients are asked to create a FollowMyHealth (FMH) portal account when completing the pre-visit check-in. This is mandatory when getting tested at Augusta.

The account allows patients to manage their care, connect with a provider, request appointments and view test or lab results.

You can access the portal on our website or download the app for 24/7 access to your personal information. Learn more and create your account.

If your child is one day through 11 years old, you’ll need to complete the FMH Parental/Guardian Access Application. This takes 3-5 days to complete and allows parental access to portal benefits. If you or your child is age 12 to 17, due to state regulations, we are unable to make medical records accessible via the FMH portal.
