Oncology has greatly improved the outcome of patients with cancer, thus increasing the need for specialty care of the cardiovascular health of cancer patients and cancer survivors. Cardio-Oncology is the discipline of providing cardiovascular care for cancer patients before, during and after cancer treatment.

The Iowa Clinic Difference
The Iowa Clinic Cardio-Oncology Department was established in 2014 as one of the few Cardio-Oncology clinics in the Midwest and the first in Iowa. We are conveniently located in our Cardiovascular Departments downtown on the UnityPoint Health Campus as well as on our West Des Moines and Ankeny campuses. Outreach is offered in Ottumwa and Creston.
