The Flu season in Iowa is in full swing in Des Moines, and while not as deadly as last year, The Iowa Clinic's providers are seeing hundreds of Iowans come in with flu-like symptoms.

Patients are visiting our Urgent Care across the Metro with flu symptoms or to get the flu shot. The Iowa Clinic has administered about 18,000 flu shots this year. It's not too late to get the vaccine, but it can take 10-14 days before it's fully effective. If you need one, be sure to make an appointment with your Primary Care provider or walk-in to one of our Urgent Care locations.
